The Escape from Furnace series is a collection of novels depicting the life of a teenager, Alex, falsely accused of Murder, being sent to a high security prison in Europe. The Prison is located a Mile beneath the surface of Earth, so nobody could escape. The novels follow Alex trying to find his way in this deadly environment, making strong bonds with his newfound friends, and keeping out of reach from the gangs. Doing so, he must change in order to fit in. This Book has taught me to keep my friends close, and my enemies closer. Throughout the book, Alex has to figure out who he has to make friends with, stay away from, and who to keep on good terms with.
