THE COLONIES AND US. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

City life:

Usually on weekends my friends and I always go to riding around town. We see a lot of things. But they are different than the things that were the norm for colonial settlers. For example, we go to the beach, and we see motor boats and surfers, but in the colonies, they would see large ships hauling tons of cargo. Behind the beach, is a long street that starts at the beach and stretches all across Santa Barbara. It has a great amount of stores. In the colonies, there is a marketplace with people selling their goods.

Education:

We go to school every day, 6 hours a day. Kids today get a lot of education. Children back then would recieve little to no education. The southern and colonies did not have public schools. Religion slowed the education process, with many different cultures attending schools, and staying in the colonies.

Rights:

Our families are generally small nowadays. People usually have 1-3 kids, and gay marriage is allowed legally. We have a large varieties of families, whether its a woman and a woman, man and a man, or woman and a man, but back then it wasnt quite like that. Colonial families were generally large and consisted of 7-10 children. Most of the children wouldnt live past adulthood (nearly half) .
