The First Amendment: You may worship any religion that originated on Earth, on Mars.- This amendment lets you worship any religion that you want, but the religion must be from Earth, no religions that were created on Mars.
The second Amendment: The people of Mars have the right to keep any blaster rifle or pistol unless otherwise specified by the colony's government.
- Like on Earth, the people are given the choice to either bear arms or not bear arms. This is to keep the Government in order and stop anyone who is not using their power for good.
The Third Amendment: you have to quarter colony soldiers only during times of War. In case of attack from countries in Earth, we have access to barracks if we need them. Although, troops may not commandeer your home, but stay in it for short periods of time, and they will not have access to your personal supplies such as food, medical items and weapons.
- This makes quartering troops easier and we won't have to build bases and barracks for troops to stay in times of war., and there is no way that it will interfere with your personal life, with them being supplied by the Mars government.
The Fourth Amendment: The Authorities have the right to search your home for evidence of a crime, but they may not take that evidence to a lab for testing. They must have a warrant for siezure, not search.
- This is for saftey of the people. If they have illegal substances or weapons ( such as drugs, bombs, etc.) then the building will be closed and a warrant for seizure will be issued if necessary.
The Fifth Amendment: You have to be a witness against yourself, and you have to go to court if you commit a crime.
The Sixth Amendment: You may not go to prison for holding to a trial. All trials are private, unless the defendant is sure about his or her trial going public.
- This gives the defendant a choice of privacy so that if the court rules not guilty, being accused will not affect his or hers social life. (You also may not be fired from a job if you are accused but ruled not guilty).
The Seventh Amendment: If you choose to lawsuit, you have to have a fee exceeding $1000, but if the defendant does not have enough money to pay, the suit fee will be lowered.
- This is so the defendant will have to pay a sufficient amount of money.
The Eight Amendment: Offenders may not be treated unfairly, unless using non-lethal force to gain information.
-This is so their punishment may not be cruel, but they can be forced into confession to other information about other situations.
The Ninth Amendment: Other people may not enfringe on your rights.
- Your rights may not be affected by the beliefs of other people.
The tenth amendment: The branches of the government have as little power as you do.
- This makes sure that the gorvernment doesnt overpower the people.
